Annual reports: state publication, 1904.

This report was written by John Purifoy, "expert accountant," to the Executive Committee of the Board of Control of the Home. It contains a financial report of the Improvement Fund and Maintenance Fund; and a complimentary description of the ten cottages; the Memorial Log Building; the hospital; barn; store; dairy; fowl house; wash house; well shelters; water works, sanitary system, and fire department; the land and animals; and his meals during his visit. Purifoy briefly discusses the activities of the inmates: their preparing a flower garden, digging up a stump, or playing dominoes or checkers. The report concludes with a tribute to Falkner and a short history of the Home. The appendix includes a valuation of property turned over by the Camp and itemized expenses since the Home became a property of the state. The series, though brief, reflects the function of the Home.
